TJ's is a throwback to non-chain family restaurants.
The service is good and the place always appears clean.
They've got plenty on the menu to choose from and the portions are more than fair. -

This place is something of a dinner style place for older people I suppose. I ordered the veggie primavera and it basically looked like something I could whip up at the last minute at home. The vegetables consisted of what looked like veggies from a frozen bag at giant. The pesto sauce was very bland and overall had no flavor. The meal sucked! The only thing that tasted remotely good was the garlic bread.
Another thing that was totally off was the fact that myself and party of 5 waited more than 15 minutes for our food to be cooked and were not given bread to be eaten in the meantime. The manager said bread is only given with entree meals... are you kidding? So as the manager of a restaurant you're completely fine with guests starving for 20 minutes while they wait for their food? The manager was was also not responsive to us at all. He breezed past us when we initially inquired about the bread, said he'd be back, went and got a drink for another guest and dropped it off, and THEN came back to talk to us. No hospitality at all. Highly would NOT recommend this establishment! -

Came for breakfast and ordered the veggie omelet, my friend had the egg platter.
The omelet advertises that it comes with Gouda cheese, this one didn't. Home fries were just ok, not much flavor. Her turkey sausage had a strange texture. Overall the quality of the breakfast we had was just sub par.
My friend did say that lunch is better so I will have to try that. -

I ordered the special salmon sandwich to pick up. The menu said the sandwich had smoked salmon, avocado, lettuce, and tomato. It was a $12 and didn't come with any side, but whatever.
I guess it's on me that I didn't check it before leaving. But, I walked all the way over, waited for my meal (even though it had definitely already been longer than the 10 minutes i'd been told it would be ready by), paid, walked all the way back, only to find out that they pur bacon on my sandwich. Nooooooo
I returned it and asked to just have my money back because I couldn't wait another 20 minutes for them to make me another one. Also, the inside of this place looks like a nursing home.
Lunch options are already severely limited in this area, and now they just got even more limited. Go to Sierra's! -

TJ's was enjoyable because it has a calm cozy atmosphere. We were there for Sunday breakfast, our hostess sat us in a boot. Nevertheless the waitress was good. Ordered the veggie omelette, western omelet, pancakes, grits, wheat toast and coffee. All was good and homey except for the Bloody Mary which did not look as advertised, that is a 0 out of 5. Overall it was a very positive experience and I recommend TJ's, I will come back, and looking forward to taste the rest if the menu. TJ's has two TV's with boots or normal tables option.
